General Property Information Request

If you are interested in obtaining records about a property you own, and they are not available through the above links, please fill out a General Request for Property Information Form and submit the completed form to developmentservices@sidney.ca.

Copies of Building Plans

If you are interested in requesting copies of building plans for a property you own, please fill out the Building Plan Copying Request Form. The Town uses Island Blue Print for copying and Island Blue will contact you for payment prior to starting the job. Please submit the completed form to developmentservices@sidney.ca.

Please note: Property information requests are processed as soon as possible and, in the order, received. Requests are currently taking between 2-3 weeks to complete.

General Property Information Request

If you are acting on behalf of the Property Owner, please fill out a General Request for Property Information Form and ensure you complete the “Agent/Designated Agent” section on the second page. A signed, standard MLS listing agreement, an executed contract for purchase and sale, or a signed Owner’s Authorization Form are also accepted as proof of agent representation. Please send the completed form to developmentservices@sidney.ca.

Copies of Building Plans

If you are requesting copies of building plans on behalf of a property owner, please fill out the Building Plan Copying Request Form, and attach proof of the owner’s authorization (eg. a completed Owner’s Authorization Form). Comfort Letters

A comfort letter, providing detailed property information, can be requested by emailing developmentservices@sidney.ca. Please be as specific as possible about the type of information being requested (eg. building permit records, occupancy permits, current zoning, outstanding issues, etc.).

Please note that fees for this written response will apply, as outlined in Miscellaneous Fees & Charges Bylaw No. 1711.

If you do not own the property and if the property information is not available through the resources linked above, you can request information about the property by following the Request for Access to Information process outlined on the Access to Information page.
